Glastonbury Arts

Our Got Art series of programs continues to be a favorite with our members and supporters.  Each program in the series is designed to provide a ‘window-in’ to the creative process of the artist.  Each Got Art program provides attendees with  “close-up and personal” exposure to practicing artists of renown, offering learning opportunities, and building appreciation for different forms of media and visual expression.

Got Art - A Window-In to Creativity

A Window-In to Creativity

Each program is held at a community venue and includes a presentation by the visiting artist with time for questions and answers from the audience.  Our expanded Got Art series of artist demonstrations and lectures is made possible by a grant from the Norma and Natale Sestero Fund at the Hartford Foundation four Public Giving. Check out our 2016 Got Art schedule.

Our 54th Annual On the Green Fine Art & Craft Show on September 10 & 11, 2016 will bring over 150 exhibitors of original fine art and hand made craft.  Each year, this highly regarded show draws thousands of visitors from across the region to our community – they come to browse and buy.  The show hours are 10 am to 5 pm on both days, rain or shine.  Free admission, free parking, musical presentations, art activities for kids, and an inviting Food Court make it easy for visitors to enjoy their day at our show.

We wind up the year with the Holiday Fine Art Exhibition & Sale in November.  The artists, all members and supporters of Glastonbury Arts, generously donate a percentage of their sales to support the efforts of Glastonbury Arts to bring an array of art events, activities, and education opportunities to our community..

The Mission of the Glastonbury Arts: Glastonbury Arts is a non-profit art organization that provides opportunities for its members, students, emerging and established artists, art lovers and the community at large through programs, instruction, demonstrations, mentoring, scholarships, networking, exhibitions and sales to stimulate community interest and make art accessible and enrich and engage individuals in the creation and appreciation of art.
