Got Art featuring Hannah Libman
The work of Hannah Libman features a “slice of life” theme and reflects the artist’s observation of people, how they act, and the things they do. She shares these scenes of common, everyday life with the viewer by using collage as her predominate medium. She is inspired by the wealth of possibilities that can be achieved with textures, forms, shapes and an endless supply of diverse materials. Her work is in the permanent collection at Hartford Hospital, University of Connecticut Medical Center, St. Francis Hospital and other corporate collections. Hannah will inspire us with her sculpting techniques with collage on November 8, 6:30 – 8:30 pm at the Glastonbury Health Care Center, 1175 Hebron Ave., Glastonbury. Her program is presented free of charge.
The “Got Art?” Symposia is part of the Art Guild’s overarching goal of bringing art to the community. At each event, the artist presents commentary about his/her creative work, provides tips and instruction, displays examples, and/or demonstrates his/her work. All have established reputations and have been recognized for their expertise as indicated by the awards they received, and the galleries, corporate collections, and institutions that collect and display their work. The programs are usually free but donations are appreciated and accepted at the door.
