Matt Ryan demonstrates the Art of Cartooning

MATT RYAN РCARTOONIST, ILLUSTRATOR AND TEACHER РRescheduled for Saturday, March 16 from 10:30 am Р12:30 pm in the Friends Room at Welles Turner Memorial Library, 2407 Main Street, Glastonbury.  

This program is for everyone – adults, teens and children who have a love of the comics and expressions of humor.

Hailing from Simsbury, Connecticut, he has created character designs for large companies, produced package design, published comics, and painted and illustrated for a gaming CD.

As a partner at ‘Free Lunch Studios’ in Granby, CT, Matt specializes in cartoon illustrations for business or publications and his work ranges from the comics industry to package design and advertising. His philosophy is to produce a quality product and to bring life to a new visual rendering to realize his client’s vision. Ever ready to inspire creativity and encourage artistic ambition, Matt teaches comic-themed workshops and classes, and offers private and group lessons.

Matt is the cartoonist behind the Junk Food strips that appear in a number of websites and papers including Patch, a community-specific news, information source. He has recently also had a number of his strips published by Harper Collins/Sky Horse in The Useless Science Fact РO РPedia by Wendy Leonard.

Adults and students alike will enjoy Matt’s demonstration and learning how comics and other creative works are processed from concept through to print.
