Bob Ferraro, Painting Ocean Waves
For the next GOT ART event, artist Bob Ferraro will discuss the process of painting on wood, and demonstrate techniques for painting ocean waves. Bob’s work is currently focused on creating 2D and 3D pieces on found hardwoods and solid red oak. His images are designed to emphasize the natural beauty of each unique piece of wood. The event takes place on Wednesday, November 1st, 2017 at 6:30 pm in Conference Room “A” at Healthtrax Fitness & Wellness, 622 Hebron Ave in Glastonbury.
Connecticut artist Bob Ferraro began his art career at Paier College of Art, majoring in illustration. After doing freelance work in published cartoons and coloring books, Bob moved into the fields of fine art and faux finishing. Known for his sports art in the 1990’s, Bob was honored by having his painting of NHL playoff MVP Brian Leetch displayed with hockey’s Stanley Cup, as well as a limited-edition print of the Kentucky Derby licensed by Churchill Downs. Currently, Bob participates in juried outdoor art festivals from Maine to Florida year-round. He also accepts varied commissions, including portraits.
