“A Painting can decorate a wall,” says Ed, “I want my paintings to define a room.”
Ed Hicks’ love, understanding, and interpretation of his native New England might be characterized as “Frostian”. The paintings seem to be from another era, a time less hectic. He paints vignettes distilled from the best qualities of a specific where and when.
