Glastonbury Arts

The Glastonbury Art Guild seeks an intern to assist with various Internet tasks in support of the Glastonbury Art Guild web presence.  The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, able to work both remotely and on-site at the Art Guild School on Hebron Avenue, and will possess excellent written communication skills.   Familiarity with the Internet, Social Media and word processing programs are also necessary skills for the position.  Training and guidance will be provided, but it is assumed the selected candidate will be able to work with minimal direction and will perform tasks in a timely manner.  This will be a paid position requiring approximately 5-8 hours of time per week.  Compensation will be $10 per hour.


–          Review and revise website content
–          Update website with new content as it is provided by board and other committees
–          Update Social Media with content as it is provided by board and other committees
–          Perform support–‐related PR tasks, e.g., post events on online calendars, write and post FB updates and Tweets, draft copy for web site and press releases
–          Document processes for own and future use
–          Report weekly status updates to the Communications Committee


–          Must be familiar with Facebook, Twitter, Youtube, Flicker and other Social Media
–          Must be comfortable working with technology
–          Ability to summarize key points for publication on Social Media
